My Oldest Friend, Janet...

...and her dear hubby, John. Taken on Saturday, May 31, 2008, the day their son, Luke, got married.

Janet & John have a wonderful love story of their own. This year they will celebrate 35 years of marriage. They are blessed with three children, Melinda, Luke, & Jake, & became grandparents for the first time, to Madeline Grace, last fall.

Janet and I have been friends since I was six, and she was eight. We've been friends for 46 years. So, if you do the math, that would make us...middle-aged!!!

We have been through it all over the years together. Though we are polar opposites in temperment, we have a friendship that, to me, is a gift from God. I know of no other woman who possesses the grace, dignity, and courage that she has, and I am honored to have her in my life.
