...Jennifer won the drawing at her school for a new bicycle!
At the end of every school year, the kids that have read a certain number of books are entered into a drawing for a new bicycle. Jen won last year, in the second grade.
This morning, the school's number came up on the caller id. Since she was sick yesterday, the first thing I thought was that she'd gotten sick at school. Instead, I hear her happy little voice telling me she'd won the new bike again this year.
This is a lucky week for her. Yesterday, she got the DVD "Nancy Drew" in the mail, a prize she'd won from a contest she'd entered a month or so ago.
So, now we'll look for someone who needs a nearly new bike, as the brand new bike comes home tomorrow.
Next, I need to have her pick lottery numbers for me (thanks for the suggestion, Aunt Diane).
