Healing Hearts

Healing Hearts (http://www.healingheartsmd.org/) was established in 2005 in memory of Bonnie Milner, whose life was tragically cut short just 2 weeks after her 26th birthday. The cause of her death was a rare congenital heart disease called Arrythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia (ARVD).

Above is a picture of Bonnie's friends, including my niece, Amy, who continue to honor Bonnie's memory, and who work to raise awareness of ARVD.

The 2nd Annual Healing Hearts Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, August 8th at 7:30am at Oakmont Green Golf Course in Hampstead , MD.

The Mission of Healing Hearts is to:

• Increase awareness of ARVD through fundraising activities and special events to help prevent such tragedy from reaching other families.

• Raise funds for the Johns Hopkins Heart Institute's ARVD research program to improve the prevention, detection, and treatment of the disease.

• Honor the memory of an incredible 26 year old devoted daughter and beloved best friend.
So far Healing Hearts has been able to raise over $40,000 for ARVD research at the Johns Hopkins Heart Institute
